Why We Made Them

Tights just don't fit. They roll, they bunch, they ladder, and you spend the whole day pulling them up. For a product worn by millions of women around the world, how is it still this bad?

Our founder, Brie, found out the hard way when her tights fell down on Edinburgh's busiest street. The embarrassment stuck with her. She asked around, and every single friend said the same thing: they hated tights too.

So she dug into every pair on the high street and figured out why. Despite being labelled as different sizes, they're all essentially the same width, just different lengths. That's why 90% of people can never find a pair that fits.

This isn't a sizing issue. It's a structural failure by an industry that never cared enough to fix it.

So we fixed it.

The Details

The Fit

The waistband is built with multi-directional ribbing, vertical and horizontal, so it stays exactly where you put it. High-rise and smooth, it sits just below the bra line without digging in or rolling down. Every size is knitted with different widths, not just different lengths, so they fit comfortably over your thighs without bunching or sagging. A chub rub band adds extra protection where it counts, and a cotton gusset keeps things fresh all day.

The Sizing

We don't do S, M or L. 99% of our customers get the right size first time, thanks to our sizing matrix that takes into account your height, dress size and body shape. If your first order isn't quite right, just get in touch, and we'll find your perfect fit, free of charge.

The Durability

These tights actually last. Because they fit properly, you're not spending the day constantly pulling them up. The fabric stays strong and keeps its ladder-resistant properties. Built to be worn hundreds of times, not just a few.

Care Instructions

Always wash your Snags before the first wear to remove any residual dye. Machine wash - with similar colours- inside a pillow case or one of our washbags. Squeeze dry and never tumble dry or expose to direct heat. Treat them well and they'll return the favour.

Why Snag

Made in Italy

These tights are made in a small town just north of Lake Garda, by a family who have spent their whole lives mastering this craft. This isn't a factory we found in a catalogue. It's a relationship built over years, on shared standards and mutual respect. We've worked with them since day one because they obsess over fit, comfort and quality as much as we do.

The Ethics

We use Nylon 66, a premium Italian fibre that lasts significantly longer than the standard Nylon 6 found in most tights. We're also moving toward Nylon 11, derived from castor oil farmed in India, supporting communities in arid regions who depend on that crop. Products featuring this yarn have Castor Oil in the title.

We believe in fair fashion. Fair to the workers, fair to the planet and fair to you.

Our dyeing process uses recycled water and non-toxic, vegan dyes. Our factory runs increasingly on solar power. Everyone who touches your tights is paid a fair wage. We're single-use plastic-free in processing and dispatch, and nothing we make goes to landfill. Returns are either resold or donated to a charity.

The Recyclability

Snag tights are the world's first recyclable tights. When yours eventually reach the end of their life, send them back, and we'll turn them into permanent industrial components. If we receive a return we can't resell, we work with charities like Hey Girl to make sure they go to someone who needs them. Nothing we make ends up in landfill.

The Value

We price on a fixed percentage margin. If it costs us more to make, it costs you a little more. If we find a way to save, we pass it on. No prestige markup. No logo tax.

Care: Always wash your Snags before wearing them the first time, this ensures no residual dye is left on them. Always wash your tights with similar colours as they may run in the wash. Tights and shorts can get caught in the drum of a washing machine, so always either hand wash or put them inside a pillow case or lingerie bag to protect them. Always squeeze dry, don’t tumble dry, and avoid direct heat as it degrades the stretch.
